Note: In 2006, Dubner International, Inc. went out of business when I went back into the corporate world. Not knowing what else to do, I left the web site to languish. Every few months, like clockwork, I'd say to myself, "You should really do something about dubner.com".

Somewhere around 2008, I got one next-to-last query about the SceneStealer product, which says something about a product whose time had, apparently, come and gone.

In 2019 I finally did do something about the site, which can be seen at http://www.dubner.com .

As of this writing, something in me is reluctant to simply consign these pages to the bit bucket, so they are here as an historical artifact.

If, perchance, you have found your way here because you are actually interested in the SceneStealer, you might want to know about this: Early in 2019 I got an e-mail from a one-time SceneStealer user, who was working on a new project that really needed a SceneStealer, and did I have any old boards around? The answer to that was, no, I didn't. But I got curious about possibilities, started looking into them, and it turned out that with video processing tools that are available these days, I was able to pretty quickly build an application that takes MP4 files as input, extracts and resizes thumbnails, detects scene changes, and generates SceneStealer files as output.

Which means the SceneStealer's logging functionality actually still works. I haven't figured out a sales model yet, but it does work, and we can talk.

Let me know if you are interested through the contact page.
